The Bremke family has been entrepreneurial since 1864. The core business of wholesale trade has since expanded and together with other entrepreneurial families, Friedrich Bremke founded the Famila retail chain in 1968. In 1993, Andreas Bremke took over in the fifth generation the management of the retail and wholesale business with around 5,500 employees. Since the sale of the trading business in 2003, the family has been focusing with ANH Hausbesitz on the development and management of commercial properties. Entrepreneurial investments are made and managed under the umbrella of Scope Hanson.
